Why did you choose Thiel?
I chose Thiel because I love the small school atmosphere. Coming from a small school with a graduating class of 88 and growing up on a farm, a small intimate atmosphere is what I really was looking for. I loved Thiel the first time I visited and when my mother visited, she instantly fell in love and told me I was coming here. Coming to Thiel is the best decision I have ever made and I have never second guessed myself.
What has been your favorite part of your Thiel experience so far?
Joining my fraternity was the best experience I have had here at Thiel. Greek life here at Thiel is not stereotypical like you would see in movies or on T.V., it is so much better. My fraternity has helped me grow as a man and become a gentleman. Going Greek is the best decision I have made at Thiel and wouldn’t change it for the world.
Advise for prospective students?
Try to go out of your comfort zone, growing up on a farm I was always isolated and when I came to college it was much different to me. You may come to Thiel knowing nobody and you will have to make new friends, which is hard seeing that most people have not had to make new friends since kindergarten. So challenge yourself to step out of your dorm room and knock on the door across the hall from you and meet the students inside and try to become friends, who knows it could be a lifelong friendship.
