The Department of Public Safety maintains a safe environment for the campus community. The department is staffed with six full-time and several part-time police officers. They are responsible for safety and security issues ranging from fire safety inspections and crime prevention programming to managing campus parking facilities.

All of the department's officers are Pa. Municipal Police Officer Training Academy graduates.
