Welcome to Tomcat Alert, the new email and text Emergency Alerting System for the Thiel College campus, replacing the campusTXT service.

Accurate communication in the event of an emergency is critical! We want to be able to reach you quickly in the event of any emergency situation on campus. Thiel has partnered with Cooper Notification Systems, owners of the RSAN Roam Secure Alert Network, to provide SMS text messaging service for emergency notification. Our new Tomcat Alert system is even more robust, faster, and easier to use than the previous system! If you were enrolled in the old system, please sign up anew for this service; enrollments did not transfer.

Register your cell phone for this emergency alerting service, and we will text you with important information in the event of a campus emergency or safety situation. We’ve already taken the first step by creating your account using your Thiel email address. 

Now it’s your turn: enroll your cell phone number to ensure that you are on the list to receive emergency and safety messages via text messaging. 

How do I register for Tomcat Alert?
Click on this link or type this link into your browser: https://notify.thiel.edu. It will bring up this page:

   Complete the User Login using your Thiel email address in   the box for Email Address. (See the red outlined area)
   Use your Thiel ID number (the one you use to log into   Webmail) as your password. 
   When you’re connected, add your cell phone provider and   cell phone number as requested.
   Select a new password – (for security, your ID number only   works this one time).
   Agree to the terms of service.
   Click on the Update button.

That’s it!! You are registered! The SMS texting services will only be used in the event of a campus emergency, safety situation or test. Should there be an emergency, you will receive a text message on your cell phone, and an email message at your registered email address.

Changes? New cell phone? Another device? Using your Thiel email address and your newly-chosen password, you can access the Tomcat Alert system at any time to update your phone number or carrier, add another device or update your record.
