The Kemper Classroom (Academic Center 36)
The Kemper Classroom was opened in the Fall of 1998 and consists
of 40 workstations plus one instructor's machine. In this lab, the instructor
has the ability to control any or all of the other workstations for
educational demonstrations. All of the 41 machines
are IBM Desktops with access to the high speed laser printer in the
lab. This lab is open during normal school hours, with the exception
of scheduled classes.
Academic
Center 35
This classroom and lab consists of 21 IBM Desktops and a high
speed laser printer. There are 20 workstations plus one instructor's
machine. This lab is open during normal school hours, with
the exception of scheduled classes.
HMSC
24 Hour Lab
This lab houses 5 IBM Desktops, available 24 hours a day
year-round to anyone with an active Thiel ID card.
The 24 hour lab located in room 137 of the HMSC is always open.
Langenheim
Memorial Library Research Lab
There are 3 IBM Desktops plus 3 wired connections for notebook hook-up and a laser printer available for use on the
main floor of the library.
All lab hours may vary depending on classes scheduled in the
lab and also during finals. Check with the lab office in AC 37 for
hours during semester breaks and summer.
Lab Rules
1.School work is priority over everything else (including chat
rooms and games).
2.No food or beverage allowed in the lab.
3.No modifications are to be made to any of the computers or printers.
This includes adding software or changing configurations.
4.Abuse of equipment will not be tolerated.
5.Defacing anything in the labs will not be tolerated.
6.Anyone using the computer labs must adhere to the acceptable use policy
as published by Thiel.
7.Please report any problems to the IT department.
8.Violation of these rules may be subject to disciplinary action.
9.Save all files to either your network drive (J:) or to disk. The computers
in any of the labs will not allow you to save files on them.
