Campus-wide workshops are advertised online, in T-Notes, and via e-mail. If you would like to teach and/or schedule a training session for your group, please call ext. 2073 to make arrangements.
Fall 2008 Tech Training in Blackboard 8.3 - all sessions will take place in AC-235 at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2 - Blackboard Q & A (please submit questions no later than Tuesday at Noon. Tuesday, Sept. 16 - User Management - updating your course list, creating groups, and sending e-mail. Tuesday, Oct. 7 - using the Grade Center Thursday, Oct. 23 - Creating assignments, using SafeAssign Tuesday, Nov. 11 - Using the Content Collection.
We are helping to coordinate individualized sessions for your small group or department. We will limit training to those items that address your particular needs. Perhaps you need to update your departmental web pages. Perhaps you want to post announcements for members of your social group or committee to read. Perhaps you want to learn to use Smart Boards (AC-127, PC100, the Rare Books Room) or the Smart Sympodium (L105) to save work you've done during classes or meetings. You tell us what you want to learn to do; we will try to arrange for help, whether it necessitates several five-minute sessions or an hour here and there. You can print a copy, fill it out and mail it to the MIMC or or save it, fill in the blanks and attach it to an email that you send to Leslie Graul or Erika Jones.
