Assistant Football Coach - Intern
Thiel College is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as an assistant coaching intern for the football program. This position will report to the Head Football Coach and the Director of Athletics, and will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of game and practice preparations, and mentoring and monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes. The Assistant Football Coach Intern will be held accountable for recruiting and retaining quality student-athletes for the College and the football program, and will be committed to meeting all rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA Division III, the President’s Athletic Conference, and Thiel College.
This 10-month full-time position will also include responsibilities within the residence life division, and includes campus housing and a full meal plan, as well as group health and welfare benefits. Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Athletics and the Head Football Coach.
A Bachelor’s degree is required; previous collegiate football coaching experience is preferred. A positive attitude towards the College and the athletic program is essential; the ability to function as a team player and to perform in a productive, professional manner at all times is required.
