Assistant Professor — Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Thiel College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in Experimental Psychology beginning in Fall 2010. Applicants with Ph.D. are preferred, but ABD’s nearing completion will be considered. Area of specialization within Experimental Psychology is open. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach courses in quantitative methods and research design, demonstrate excellence in both teaching and scholarship, and be willing to teach a variety of introductory and advanced courses. Courses may include General Psychology; a laboratory course in specialty area; History and Philosophy of Psychology, Research Methods and Senior Seminar.
Candidates should have an interest in joining an undergraduate department where teaching in a small classroom environment is emphasized. The normal teaching load is four courses per semester.
