Assistant Professors in Analytical and Physical Chemistry
           
Thiel College invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level, one in Analytical Chemistry and the other in Physical Chemistry to teach in an ACS-approved department starting August 2010. Requirements for both positions include a Ph.D., demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education. ABD’s will be considered. In addition to teaching in the major field, the successful candidates will be expected to teach in the general chemistry program, to supervise undergraduate research and to teach and work within the College’s general education program. A wide knowledge of instrument operation and maintenance is also required. For the Physical position, any specialty will be considered. For the Analytical position, preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Environmental Chemistry.
