Early Acceptance Medical Program
An Early Acceptance Program (EAP) has been designed with LECOM to establish a joint undergraduate/professional program of education leading to the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
Qualified candidates are interviewed at LECOM within the first two years of enrollment at Thiel College; upon approval the student is offered provisional acceptance to LECOM's Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Program. Upon meeting the criteria for final acceptance, they will matriculate at the LECOM campus of their choice (Erie, PA, or Florida).
Two tracks are offered for this program: The "4+4" track which consists of four years of undergraduate education at Thiel College followed by four years of medical school education at LECOM and its associated clinical training sites. The "3+4" track consists of three years at Thiel and four years at LECOM. Students enrolled in the “3+4” track receive a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology or a B.A. in Chemistry from Thiel College upon completion of at least 30 credit hours at LECOM.
Pre-Med Advisors:
Biology Track: Dr. Nick Despo
Chemistry Track: Dr. Chris Stanisky
