In the senior year, majors in allied health-medical technology must attend one of
the hospitals affiliated with Thiel College, or any other hospital with an ASCP-approved
program in medical technology for a year of clinical and classroom work. The medical
technology professional study year includes the following courses: clinical microbiology,
clinical chemistry, clinical hematology/coagulation, clinical immuno-hematology, clinical
immunology/serology and clinical seminar. Thiel awards 32 credit hours for the
professional study year when satisfactorily completed.
