Valerie Vernon is a native of Greenville and graduated from Greenville High School where she participated in band, chorus, and sports.  She placed in Honors and District Band and chorus and even placed 7th in the county for Cross Country track.  An alumna of Westminster College, Ms. Vernon graduated with a combination major of Sociology and Psychology. Westminster is also where she received her Master’s degree in Education. She attended Point Park College as well.  She holds dual PA instructor’s II certification in Latin and English and has taught both at Thiel College from 1998.  For several years she was employed as a freelance writer for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, North and covered human Valerie Vernoninterest material.

What you may not know about Ms. Vernon is that she is also certified as a Graphoanalyst (Handwriting Analysis) and has studied Document Examination – having once helped to solve a case of graffiti on the bathroom wall of Pittsburgh’s Gateway Sheraton Hotel.  A lover of all music, Ms. Vernon has been a member of Pittsburgh’s Mendelssohn Choir since 1998 and now concentrates on classical repertoire.  She is now part of the professional core and was fortunate enough to sing a minor solo during the Pops Christmas concerts of 2006 at Heinz Hall.

Ms. Vernon resides in Grove City with her husband and two daughters.
