Biography Dr. Natalie M. Dorfeld, who often answers to Shirley, was born and raised in Greenville, Pennsylvania. Originally a misunderstood Philosophy / Physical Education / Art major, she decided she fancied composition around 1996. Much to the astonishment of her friends and family, she went on to obtain three degrees from Slippery Rock University and one from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. (Indiana, Pennsylvania, is the home of the Jimmy Stewart Museum.) In her spare time, she enjoys all the stereotypical English professor hobbies, such as reading, writing, and knitting covers for her toilet paper rolls. Outside of class, she enjoys anything and everything involving a blatant disregard for public safety, such as skydiving, extreme mountain biking, and snorkeling with sharks. She lives with her wonderful fiancée, a plethora of cats, and a Heinz 57 mutt in Ohio.
