Biography

A member of the Thiel faculty since 2004, Professor Jakovac taught previously at Duquesne University, Penn State-McKeesport, and Slippery Rock University. His primary research interests are in twentieth-century British, Irish, and American literature. He has presented papers at major regional and national conferences on the work of Brian Friel and James Joyce, and he has chaired panels on multiple topics. In addition to reading, he also enjoys running, playing guitar, and spending time with family (he may well be more fond of The Simpsons than any sane person should, too).
