Professor of English
Dr. Moinet received the B.A. degree in English from Mount Union College and the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees with a specialization in nineteenth-century American literature from Kent State University. He teaches American Literature, Modern Poetry, Nineteenth-Century Novel, Twentieth-Century Novel, and Contemporary Fiction of Africa, Asia and Latin America as well as English Composition and Science and Our Global Heritage. He is particularly interested in the American Transcendentalists and the poetry of Walt Whitman.
Dr. Moinet lives on a small farm with his wife and two sons, and he serves on the Commodore Perry School Board and is president of the Commodore Perry Little League. He freely admits to frittering away an inordinate amount of time cheering on his beloved Tribe, Browns, and Tomcats.
