Dr. Mild received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1995. She received her Master’s Degree in Education with certification in Special Education Supervision from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 2000. She received her Doctorate in Education from Capella University in 2014. Her dissertation was titled, “The Analysis of a Teacher Test Preparation Tutorial to Learner Test Scores: An Action Research Study."
Dr. Mild is a former middle school Title I teacher, emotional support teacher, learning support teacher and special education supervisor for districts in both Mercer and Lawrence counties. She is a higher education representative for local school districts. She created and organized the curriculum and coursework for the special education portion of the Early Childhood/Special Education degree. She currently teaches several of the special education courses within the department
