The Thiel College Communication Sciences and Disorders department proudly presents a rather unique group of professors. In addition to their dedication to their students on campus, these professors are actively treating individuals with communication disorders. Ms. Strecansky is a deaf education teacher in a public school and community education instructor of sign language. Ms. Yake Mooney is the audiologist for an area physician’s office which specializes in ears, nose, and throat disorders. Dr. Antonino provides speech, language, and swallowing treatment in the local hospital and out-patient clinic. The Communication Sciences and Disorders majors benefit from the clinical expertise of their professors, who mentor them in the application of theory learned in the classroom to practice in the clinical setting. |
