I hold a Ph.D. in Rhetoric from Duquesne University with an emphasis in interpersonal communication and ethics. The title of my dissertation is "Phenomenological Distance in Interpersonal Relationships." I also received a master's degree in Corporate Communication from Duquesneand and bachelor's degree in Communication from Slippery Rock University,

I have served the Thiel Communication Department in the past as a full-time lecturer and an adjunct. Before coming to Thiel, I was a member of Slippery Rock University's communication faculty. In addition, I have taught at Clarion University and Duquesne University, as well as serving as an adjunct professor at Westminster College and Pennsylvania State University-Shenango.

Currently, I am the chair of the Communication Department and the advisor of Lamda Pi Eta, the communication honorary.
