Thiel joins anti-fraud education partnership 
Thanks to the efforts of Melissa Oakes, Instructor in Thiel's Department of Business Administration, Thiel is now part of the Anti-Fraud Education Partnership, an initiative of the ACFE (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners). The partnership aims to make it easy for colleges or universities to provide expert anti-fraud training to their students and was established to address the unprecedented need for fraud examination education at the university level. Thiel has received videos and workbooks from the Partnership to utilize in the classroom along with case studies students can access to learn more about this subject and jobs in the field. As a certified fraud examiner, Oakes will be able to attend a continuing education seminar every two years for free. Students will also be able to obtain discounted student memberships in ACFE thanks to this new designation.
