My name is Xichuan Wang and I graduated from Thiel in 2007 with a BA in Fine Art. I am now located in New York, NY and was accepted into the Pratt Institute's Graduate Department for Communication Design. I will graduate with a MS in Communication Design in November of 2009. While not in the classroom, I work part-time as an Adobe Flash Designer and Developer at Squeaky Wheel Media, while also taking on freelance jobs from clients of all industries. I have worked with clients such as Honeywell International, WABCO International Germany, Christian Dior, Elizabeth Arden, Northern Trust Bank, and the Jackie Robinson Foundation.
Thiel's Art Department was a great foundation for me when I started as a freshman. The faculty are not only full of talented artists that are knowledgeable in their craft but they also take the time to help you sharpen your artistic senses. I feel confident that my developed skills and portfolio can compete with students from other art schools. After graduation I was accepted into Pratt Institute in their Masters program for Communication Design and I know that Thiel's Art Department has prepared me well for post-graduate studies.
