The liberal arts education offered at Thiel College has provided me with a diverse and reputable scholastic background. As a double major in Art and English, I have been encouraged to explore contemporary and traditional styles of art and writing as well as to incorporate facets of all of my classes into my projects. I have refined my skills in many areas of study, including: 2-dimensional illustration, 3-dimensional rendering, graphic design, color theory, informative and creative writing, business and technical writing, and advanced composition and style.
The faculty at Thiel has been great at helping me obtain the tools and education that I need to succeed on a personal and professional level. I am fortunate to have worked with the many aspiring student artists and writers, but, most importantly, I am privileged to continue to learn under and be motivated by Thiel’s staff.
I have been writing a graphic novel over the past 5 years which I have been able to develop at home and even in the classroom. It has been a long process, but thanks to the Art and English departments at Thiel, I have found the guidance I need to improve my illustrations and compositions. Genova Boost, the title of my work-in-progress, is being illustrated traditionally with pencil, ink, and markers, but it will undergo digital editing for adding text, fixing errors, and overall refinement. The following images are panels from my graphic novel, which should exhibit the skills I have developed here at Thiel College.
