GREENVILLE, PA – Thiel College announced a successful end to its participation in the annual RecycleMania competition. In the category of Targeted Materials, Bottles & Cans, Thiel placed 44 out of 223 schools, which equals 2.99 pounds of material per person. During the 10 week competition, Thiel collected 4,965 pounds of recyclable material. Last year, the college collected about half that amount and placed 109 out of 210 schools in the same division. RecycleMania is an international competition among college campuses to see who can reduce, reuse and recycle the most on-campus waste during a 10-week period from mid-January to late March.
