2008 TOYS FOR TOTS CAMPAIGN ENDS ON A HIGH NOTE December 16, 2008 Thank you to all those who donated to this year's Toys for Tots campaign. THIEL COLLEGE PRESENTS ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CONCERT ON DEC. 7 December 3, 2008 The community is invited to celebrate the season as this annual Christmas concert at 4 p.m. in the William A. Passavant Center on Thiel's campus. THIEL RECEIVES EITC FUNDS FROM NATIONAL CITY Many thanks to National City Bank of Greenville for its donation to Thiel College through Pennsyvlania's EITC program. THIEL RECEIVES RECYCLING GRANT The College will receive one of 85 national Recycling Bin Grants from the National Recycling Coalition and the Coca-Cola Company. LEIPHEIMER NAMED THIEL COLLEGE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, REISER PROMOTED TO HEAD FOOTBALL COACH Congratulations to Jack Leipheimer who has been named athletic director at Thiel College. Kurt Reiser, assistant head coach of the football team, has been promoted to head coach of the Thiel Tomcats. Both appointments are effective today. FLAG RAISED OVER THIEL'S CAMPUS IN HONOR OF VETERAN'S DAY November 11, 2008 Thiel College and the Greenville and Hempfield police departments honor veterans with a flag raising on Veteran's Day. OLSON RECOGNIZED AS 18TH PRESIDENT OF THIEL COLLEGE November 7, 2008 The Thiel College Board of Trustees announced today that Dr. Robert Olson ’60 has been named president of the college, retroactive to his interim appointment in March 2007. THIEL'S ANNUAL CULTURE SHOW RETURNS ON NOV. 11 November 3, 2008 Thiel will showcase the diversity of its student body at the annual Culture Show on Nov. 11. The event is free and open to the public.
