NEW THIEL SCHOLARSHIP EXTENDED TO CHILDREN OF NATION'S FALLEN HEROES Dec. 20, 2006 Thiel College President Dr. Lance A. Masters announced today the establishment of the Thiel College Fallen Hero Scholarship, which will provide full tuition for four years to dependent children of military personnel killed in action during operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. ANNUAL CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL IS DEC. 3 Nov. 21, 2006 The 53rd annual Thiel College Christmas Festival will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, in the college’s William A. Passavant Memorial Center. LIGHTING THE WAY CEREMONY IS NOV. 30 Nov. 21, 2006 Thiel College will hold a special holiday season lighting ceremony and worship service during its Lighting the Way event at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 at the college’s David Johnson Memorial Chapel. SCHOLAR JON STEWART TO SPEAK AT THIEL Nov. 9, 2006 Kierkegaard scholar Jon Stewart will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, in the Sawhill-Georgian Room of Thiel College’s Howard Miller Student Center. VETERANS ADMITTED FREE TO SATURDAY'S GAME Nov. 8, 2006 In honor of Veterans’ Day on Saturday, Nov. 11, any veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces who attends Thiel College’s 1 p.m. football game against Carnegie Mellon University will be admitted free of charge. THIEL ALUMNUS, JUDGE TO SPEAK TO THIEL STUDENTS ON NOV. 10 Nov. 3, 2006 Thiel College alumnus and Mercer County Common Pleas Court Judge John C. Reed will speak to students at noon on Friday, Nov. 10, in the Sawhill-Georgian Room of the college’s Howard Miller Student Center.
