Department of Languages

In our global environment, people of every nation must be able to see the world as others see it in order to communicate effectively and resolve critical issues.  The study of foreign languages and cultures can help to provide understanding among nations and peoples.

The Department of Languages offers foreign language and culture courses in ESL, French, German, Greek, Latin, and Spanish.  Students benefit from a variety of experiences and resources, both inside and outside the classroom.. cultural trips, participation in campus cultural events, study abroad, and media bring them in contact with the language and cultures that they are studying.  In addition, they have access to live or taped satellite broadcasts in the language that they are studying.

Cultural Trips help to enhance the learning experience.
